Mileage Question?

Im sure its been asked before but couldnt find anything.

Ive just purchased my first caddy with 51k on. In terms of these engines and vans in general would you class this mileage as yet to be run in?

I was considering getting one with less miles, but couldnt find the spec i wanted so bought this one.

What sort of miles are these engines capable of? I know German cars are renowned for been able to go further than most other makes before falling to bits.

I know there was someone on here who got a consignment of ex fleet caddys with 245k miles and they were still going strong.

Im that used to Renaults etc that just fall apart after 50k! To be fair i test drove the thing and it felt like brand new, maybe i shouldnt be too concerned.

I wouldn't worry mate - had planty of dubs with more miles than that - even my last van (Vauxhall Combo with 95K) ran sweet. Most modern cars (French and Rovers excluded!) will do starship mileage if looked after properly. Hope this puts your mind at ease mate!
