DSG???? or Not
Looking for a TDi Caddy....
104ps, with tuning to come...
Will be used for work, and pleasure, carrying minimum weight.
Driving is Mixed, motorway, dual, single, town etc etc..
Do i get a DSG or Manuel... Ive heard some good thinks about the DSG, but what they like on fuel, and wear?

Re: DSG???? or Not
VW DSG system is king of paddleshift, more efficient, wear i'm unsure never used it but i know you'll find it coming installed in latest ferarri's Plus if your going for big power dsg will take it all day no clutch problems...T11OM F wrote:Looking for a TDi Caddy....

Re: DSG???? or Not
Can I ask if you order the DSG gearbox, does it come with paddles automatically or do you have to pay extra for the paddles ????

i dont think it comes with paddles on steering wheel, you have park, reverse, neutral, drive, sport and then you can move it to the left and hit it up and down the gears manuallyRicky wrote:Can I ask if you order the DSG gearbox, does it come with paddles automatically or do you have to pay extra for the paddles ????

Re: DSG???? or Not
That would take the shine off it for me somewhat....
Have I read on the forum somewhere that you can retro fit lets say a gti wheel with paddles onto the caddy ? Anyone know what is involved if I'm correct ? If you do could make the explanation idiot proof it would be much appreciated ..... lol
Thanks in advance !

It's quite straight forward from what I gather - do a search mate. Whether the paddles would work or not is another matter - I'm guessing you'd need some extra wiring through the steering column?

Re: DSG???? or Not
My steering wheel came with the paddles and when you press them they show up in Vag-Com so I'd reckon it'll work no problem, all it is is another signal, the same as the manual shift on the gear stick.
