Nice work! I'm just starting out on a camper build, loads of ideas to draw inspiration from here. Hope you don't mind if I nick your idea of using the tie down points to latch the furniture in.

I got inspiration from a previous van we had from which used the over-centre catches and J bolts in the rails they fitted. So go for it.
As a daily driver the Caddy is pretty good. The conversion makes a bit of noise that I'm yet to chase down but don't notice the weight.

Just had another flick through your thread - do you mind sharing where you got your windows done? Do you ever find the need for a second slider or are you happy with one sliding and one fixed?

The windows come from Campervan Glass. I got them fitted by Berkshire Campers in Hurst near Twyford, Reading.
The one slider seems perfect. It's not very sophisticated with a big recess on the outside but it functions fine and has effective drip channels that drains water.
It provides some ventilation without needing the door open and I can open the other door or crack a window open for a cross breeze.
Good level of tint. You can't see inside but there is a good view from inside
I would probably choose to do the same again.

Great, thanks for the advice! This is the original power station I bought to fit behind the passenger seat. Bluetti has bought a new one out the Elite 100 V2 this has a bit more capacity, better display and quicker charging. Crucially it fits the same space!

The new power station has meant that my fridge will run for over 3 days now so enough capacity for a weekend away but still needed to be removed to be charged. So decided to get Bluetti's Charger 1, which is a universal B2B charger for power stations.

The B2B comes with a long run of cables for connecting to the main battery. There is a loom going through the firewall behind the battery. It has a strange kind of twisted grommet that I fed the cables though.

This is the Charger 1, fitted to a panel I made up to sit within the Life carpets I fitted.

This is the fuse panel for the 12v system. Strictly speaking I don't need it because the power station has circuits to protect the outputs, but it provides a first line of defense.

The whole setup

Setup and running. Power bank should fully charge from flat in less than two hours while driving.
It's essentially the same as a leisure battery setup with an inverter, and B2B and about the same cost.
Wiring was put in place for electric hook up and a solar panel at a much earlier stage in the build should I ever feel the need to add these in the future.
There are some benefits. I've already swapped out the power station once to increase capacity, I have high powered USB C's and an app that controls both units and gives me usage data.

Yes impressed with the cables. Reassuringly thick but super flexible. I worked out that they deliver just over 40 amps.

That sounds great. The tint and ventilation seem perfect and it’s good the slider works well and keeps water out.
