I'm interested in doing a similar fit in my Caddy and was wondering where you sourced the arm rest/center console from and was it from a Caddy or other VW model?

Aso dig those seats.

Hi, it’s a touran console, got it off a guy on the touran and caddy owners forum on faceache. It was £70 plus postage but is immaculate, even came with special nuts and bolts you need to secure it

Trying to sort out why the passenger door window switch doesn’t work. Works from drivers side. Took door card off thanks to the how to by tommyzoom, took out the switch and put a meter on the wires. 3v, is this right?

Papa Bear it could be the switch just needs replacing. I had the same issue and it looked like water had got in to the switch board and corroded it. Have you tried connecting your drivers side switch to the passenger connection to see if it works.

@oldgregg was contemplating doing that but after the mess up of locking my keys in I’m taking a coffee break :D
Looked online and can get a non oem switch for £3.85, not sure I want to risk that though. Will test with other switch first I think

Works with drivers switch, took passenger one right apart, yes it’s corroded. Cleaned it and tried again, works down but not up, anyone got a spare switch :D

Have U clean button rubber which push to cuprum? Try make short connect when U have switch open. You see two poits. One from up and second from down.

One of the surface mount chips was heavily corroded, already tried shorting with top open, no go

Stripped some bits off for painting, decided to give it a go myself seeing as the van's barely being used at the moment!

Also made a bit more progress on carpeting and insulating, starting to come together now. Not fitted the main panel in place yet just lined it up to see how it looked :)

As I’ve nothing at all to do, I spend way way way to much time under normal circumstances figuring this out. But I managed to get the bulb warning light off since fitting the new rear lights and got the lights to look correct like the newer models.

I also set the side repeaters to come on when in the park and position setting and still flash when turned on, purely cosmetic, but I like it. Plus a new set of reg plates with a nicer still legal font.
