Carbon vinyl wrapping

I decided to spend my sat morning wrapping some bits on the van

looks great-- i would really like to do my stereo surround:- not sure if I have the talent though. Any tips? where did you get the wrap?

My advice is to take your time and when heating the vinyl do not pull to hard as carbon vinyl goes shiny and can look stretched. I bought it from ebay did not go for the cheap stuff as can look cheap once done. The external bits i think i may mask off and lacquer them.

Thank for that- is a hairdryer enough heat? Can you share a link for the e-bay vinyl please?

This is the stuff I went for http://bit.ly/vvtgAq. Yes a hair dryer is perfect you only need a small amount of heat just to help wrap the curved edges

Good luck!

I found the best method was to clamp the handle onto a work bench, giving you two hands free to shrink and pull the vinyl around the tight curves.

I had ordered a lot more than I needed so ended up going a bit nuts. I think it does look make it look tidy plus stops me having to keep dressing the external plastics ha ha
