Hey guys I've managed to get a hold of a golf with a bkd motor cheap planning on swapping the motor out on the caddy 1.9 bls been reading up on all the posts I can my caddy already has electro steering rack going by all the posts the conversion should be pretty easy right?

I don't think you need to go down the route of a stand alone setup, the BKD was an option in a vehicle of the same platform as yours, there won't be much difference.

I'd say maybe a few wires to relocate at the ECU and maybe the engine bay fuse panel.
