Caddy Life mirrors

Post by BurariRS »

Hi guys

Apologies if this has been mentioned countless times.

I have read in several places if you upGrade to the power fold life mirror's (change door modules also) you will loose total closure function on them?

Is this just a coding issue that can be sorted? Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
You can of course retain the total closure function, you just need the correct modules.
You're likely hearing from people who have used modules from vehicles other than a Caddy.

Hi,

I got Scirocco and Octavia modules and had the firmwares flashed to the Caddy version.

Caddy power folding modules are pretty much pure Unobtainium second hand.

I fitted Caddy life mirrors to my 2013 Maxi. Originally had non-electric standard mirrors. So I swapped to a Touran door module which supported power folding mirrors. Need to get the mirrors coded now with VCP... as want them folding in when I lock the van.

To get the modules coded you need a person with VCP who knows what they are doing !

Doc and Claudiu2s are names that spring to mind - there are other people who also have the skill I believe ...

This is a awesome idea to put on my 2013mk3. Will take a look at this, folding mirrors would be a nice upgrade 👌
