Cheers Hef, praise indeed🤗
Todays news is, it seems that I need a turbo now 🤕. Intercooler full of oil. To be expected I suppose with an 180k van.
Ah well, it’s only money😂

Anyone have a good BLS turbo kicking about?

Just bought a refurbed unit from Turboworks. They have good reviews. 🤞it’ll be ok.

Today I cut up the B pillar trim caps from the bulkheads and got them ready for carpet.

Well, Turbo is fitted, along with a new (PO supplied) CV joint, new OS caliper and pads, along with a new diesel filter, oil filter and 5W30 Quantum fully synth. That’s the service taken care of for a few months.

I’ve covered the closing panels for the B pillar in 4 way stretch which I might still redo. The best result I’ve managed though was covering the B pillar trims with Suede Flex Unbacked from Harrison Trim Supplies. Excellent product and even easier to apply than the 4 way stretch.

….and yesterday I fitted the Caddy Life maxi mirrors I got from one of the guys on here. So much nicer looking although they need painting black.

Got my cab roof and tray out and covered them in the charcoal Suede Flex, I will admit though the A pillar covers were a nightmare! 😂😂
All back in now, I stripped the carpet off the B pillar closing panels as I think they’d look better in Suede. Unfortunately I’ve run out.😟

Not updated this for a couple of weeks, done a few bits including wrapping my door pillars (also done my son in laws since which turned out even better), swapped out my mirrors for Caddy Life Maxi ones (still need the covers painted though as they’re in blackberry) swapped out my damaged high level brake light, next up was to get my glass tinted and finally I got my RS3 vent and 3D printed vent adaptors. Bit of confusion on eBay when the conning seller only sent me one vent not 4, however I have sourced another 2 which are on their way so one more left and I’m done.
Almost forgot, I also purchased and fitted an auto lights switch with the light sensor.

Also this week I got a copy of VCDS and purchased an Autel mx808 scanner so have all bases covered. Used the VCDS yesterday to clear my light fault from the LED indicators and set up my auto locking/unlocking. Also removed the stupid US parking light setup from my son in laws caddy.

Got my centre vents changed out, very happy with them.

Stripped my Belkin QI wireless charger and soldered on a 5v converter and mounted it in a couple of pieces of 19mm ply then placed the mat back on top. Need to glue it with my hot glue gun and connect it to 12v. It does work as I’ve tested it.

Great work there mate, really like the suede, looks loads better than carpet or spraying the whole shelf and a pillars black.

Looks great👍 was difficult to fit them? You had to cut the original vents also, like in the case of audi TT Mk1 vents or are they a direct fit?
