Well I brought a accident damaged 2011 golf gt tdi highline for 800 then took engine, gearbox, gear linkage, engine loom with ecu, body control module, clock spring, steering wheel, key chip, and had to just change couple wires on the secondary engine ecu plug for the afm and 02 sensor and just a relay to wire in for fuel pump because they are on the engine for the 2.0 not in tank so if ya can get mk6 golf 2.0 cff with engine then it not bad job to do 👍🏻

Hello Mate! Greetings from Italy.
I would be interested in doing a swap from the 1.6tdi to 2.0tdi engine too.
I would be interested if you remember the pins you changed in the secondary engine ecu plug?
Thanks I would be grateful for the answer. Here in Italy, unfortunately, there are no people so good with car modifications!

Big Dave, I am very keen to know more about this conversion, we have a company van which looks the part but now needs a power plant to help live upto the looks.

I was looking at the PD130 engines but it seems wrong going for an older engine on a 2011 van. So your conversion looks promising. Do you have a contact number so I could give you a call.

Thanks

Ben

Hi is all this needed or can you get away with using control modules ect from the caddy ? Or would you say it’s not worth attempting without a donor car?

Has anyone changed from BMM engine to DFSD?

Would be cool to go for 16v instead of 8v :P

Running today BMM with
Turbo - GTB1756V
Injectors - 038 130 073 AL
EGR Delete

Hi bigdave.

What wiring did you have to do i have a full donor car which is a seat leon fr tdi 2010.

I know you need to wire in the fuel pump on the engine to a relay any information greatly appreciated

Hi all / bigdave,

I’m in the process of doing this conversion have everything fitted and not seeing fuel at the rail.
I’ve not done this wiring modification but sent the ecu away to have all the immob bypassed etc just not getting fuel now.

Any ideas ?

The fuel pump is controlled by the ECU, if you've not got it plugged in then the pump won't run.
