Hi guys

So I figured I'd start a thread for my build and yes it's another ex british gas van Image

I bought mine in January of this year and have slowing been getting on with it, I started with gutting it and cleaning it.

One of the first mods I did was install my RNS 510 I bought for my golf previously and add a reversing camera but to cut a long story, of messing about with cable and an adapter box, short I gave up and bought a RCD 330 which the camera plugged straight in too.

Along with getting some fresh wing mirror covers, side rail covers and a spoiler to get them all painted at the same time.

I'll try to keep it as chronological as I can going forward have a lot to catch up on with this one lolImageImageImageImage

What plans do you have. ie daily drive, camper or a work horse?

Next I got some more rubber for me feet and a seat ibiza engine cover and tore the badge off.

Got a rear door handle and fitted that.

I then started putting in the insulation.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

@Sean1066 hi mate I've been using it as a daily for the whole year now while attempting to make a bit of a camper out of it. I'm only just starting the build thread a lot has changed with it through the year

Looking forward to seeing some more pictures then and seeing what you’ve done. Give me some ideas at the same time

So to speed things up on this build, over the last months I've insulated ply lined and carpeted.
Got a motexion bulkhead
Got the bed how i want it to work now got rid of the black out on the rear windows and had them tinted and put on vanX blinds.
Sorted the leaisure battery and switch board. ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Great work does that bulkhead let the seats go further back ?

@Timthorley yeah you get a little more on the driver's side maybe an extra inch I'm 6ft and its slot more comfortable and loads on the passenger as its straight across, whereas the original is like different each side

Brilliant mate, im a short arse but i like to drive horizontal like 50 cent so im struggling with mine ive use a heat gun to mold it to the seat but its not quite enough i think im going have to buy custom or cut this out

I dont think you'll get fully horizontal but I've got quite long legs, so getting the extra click back in the chair and still having a bulkhead for me is ideal

Fitted A3 black edition air vents, there in the right way up they would have lined up better but they didnt look right, used some left over foam from my bed to direct the air through the vent.ImageImageImage

I forgot to add that on the side vent i had to make clearance on the vent as was hitting the bottom

Cheers, yeah with the foam it helps direct it all through the vent better without the foam they were pretty weak
