There's screw holes on the back of the bumper for the brackets, I just used the usual VW trim torx screws.
Then the fogs screw into the brackets from the back again with the torx screws. Tbf they are probably not the correct screws but they worked for me

Re: My EX BG VR6 3.2 build
Absolutely loved reading this build thread from start to finish very well pictured and informative. I have been eyeing up a ex bg caddy maxi for a while now as I think it is the best colour and this makes me want one even more seeing how much can be done to these and the growl of the vr6 sounds awesome would definitelybe dping a v6 transplant. Keep up the hard work .

@Jonni91
Thank you for taking the time to read my build.
The VR6 transplant is probably the best thing I have done to it Especially with the sound the VR6 makes

It’s taken me probably 4 years to get a clean cluster. No more lights

Re: My BG Caddy maxi build
Hi,
Sorry to dig up an old post but this is a very long thread :-)
I did a forum search on bumper protectors as I was looking for a gloss black one for my Mk4 but can't find one, then I saw your rather beaut van!
I know you had to paint the protector but what one did you use? @sean1066

@peakyPaul
I bought mine off a caddy2k member.
From what I can remember it was a mat black one

Epic build, really good reading.
6 years of love/hate, a custom spray job soon to be wrapped, lots of grey alcantara and yellow stitching, yellow GTI TT seats, gears, engine, engine toys, exhaust, alloys, 312 brakes, grey lining, black centre light/grab handles, carpets, smoked rear lights, and a horn.

Re: My EX BG VR6 3.2 build
More improvements this week.
Had the back box redone now I have one inlet and two outlets with an exhaust flap to bypass the back box. It now sounds totally different you can hear the real sound of the VR6.
