Would be good if a good top box could be printed.
Plenty in here would buy one!

@Dav02
If you sand the top smooth, you could either heat the surface equally and press a texturised mould onto it to give the look. Or equally a very light skin of plastic filler on the the top after it’s been keyed and then press the texturised mould.
Think there is a kit that you can make moulds from existing surfaces - the pass side where the airbag or prob be a large enough area to do this.

Interesting, I’ll look into it once we get the final build sorted.

1st prototype of top box fill in.
Printed in 3 parts. Lets us place in 1 piece at a time to see where clips line up.
After a few cuts to test fit I’ve got it to go in. Will need to make some amendments to the design to get the fit correct.

Hi mate
Can you remember what glue you used for your door card trims?
Cheers.

Re: Reflex Silver Caddy (66)
I plastic welded them back in using a soldering iron. There should be enough from the door cards themselves to re glue back in place once the separate parts are removed.
However for any tabs that didn’t, I had some ABS plastic rods to add extra support.
Glue for the cloth was just the standard trim adhesive

Re: Reflex Silver Caddy (66)
Cool,
I've just got hold of some mk7 door cards and removed the handles.
Also purchased some plastic welding rods too.
May go with faux suede as I've used it before and was reasonably close to alcantara.
Thanks.

Version 2 of dash top cover.
Still quite a few amendments to be made. So hopefully next one shouldn’t be far away.
