Re: Blackberry Life
As always very helpful cheers , those systems look pretty ingenious . I have road and gravel , I look the fork adapter also .
Does the verge rack slide around as it’s not fixed to the floor or is it weighty ?
I ordered the sunglasses case and the led interior light tonight for mine will be discussing the lowering options since and for all tomorrow with my mechanic

Re: Blackberry Life
When there’s a bike or two on it, it doesn’t really move around much on the carpet, despite the bikes not weighing much. Although that’s probably why, not so much inertia. Sometimes if there’s other stuff in there I’ll face the bikes the other way (forks at rear) and then just wrap a bungee or two attached to the tie-down rings. Great thing with the Vergo from Minoura is that it’s in or out in a moment, not a permanent fixing.
Couple of extra things: if you bought that thru-axle adapter in the first Amazon link, it needs a slight mod. I think the gap at the bottom is exactly 9mm - before paint! You’ll have to take a file to the bottom to take it back so it fits on the QR bits on the rack. They must all be like it because I have two and they both were. Also if you have hydraulic discs, I keep a couple of pad spacers in the back to pop in while travelling, just in case the brake lever gets pulled and that’s a whole new annoyance to deal with.

Yep, going to whip off the side bars tomorrow, put the rubber bungs back in with seam sealant. I may not have the van back until midweek but yes, photos will be on here when ready. Ron mentioned a few photos before so more than happy to accommodate. Body shop said thanks for the pics of yours Dave, so cheers, much appreciated.

Re: Blackberry Life
Great little mod that! Definitely going to be doing that to mine! Thanks for the part no’s too, makes the search for parts much easier.mark1a wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 7:53 pm Some parts turned up today, so this weekend if I get time I will hopefully install wireless phone charging in the Caddy.
Ordered a replacement centre console tray from TPS, and an Inbay universal Qi pad, which happens to be a similar size to the base of the tray. The new tray is so that if I make a mistake on this I can put it back - basically I will need to Dremel off a couple of plastic lugs from the tray and attach the pad to the underside - then wire up from the 12v supply adjacent to it. There's rubber insert available for this tray, which I already have.
More info and parts list here after I get it working...

Re: Blackberry Life
Cheers! Good luck with it, part is for mk4 but TPS should advise vehicle fit. Then just the Qi pad to fasten on the bottom.

Re: Blackberry Life
Got the Caddy back today with the newly painted & fitted RK Designs side skirts. Really happy with it, they look very OEM.

Re: Blackberry Life
Thanks Simon - yes they are slightly smoked/subdued, but I haven't changed them, they were standard fit. I have a distant recollection that models with the OEM factory xenon headlamps also had smoked taillight clusters, although I could be wrong.

Thanks very much, next up, going to start looking for a rear bumper & diffuser I think and start planning the DC-DC charging for a leisure battery.

Re: Blackberry Life
Looking really good @Mark1a
They’ve done a lovely job there, no issues with fit etc ?
The weather was great over here in Suffolk today too, makes you feel a bit better as well. Looking forward to seeing these Caddy’s of ours all together somewhere soon

Re: Blackberry Life
Hi Dave, thanks, no issues with fit at all and he mentioned that they’re good quality for non-OEM aftermarket. In fact he’d quoted me over £400 at first on the basis they were going to be trouble and in the end only charged £200 on collection as he only spent half the time on the job.
Yeah good weather today, took a spin out to West Bay, or Broadchurch as non-locals seem to call it.
Hopefully this year there will be the return of Hef-fest and other events.
All the best...
