Re: Caddy R360 build thread
Amazing build and thread Dan, just finished reading all 110 pages.
Without a doubt THE longest forum thread I’ve ever read and I’ve been on a LOT of forums. Your efforts are an inspiration to all.
My recent purchase of a 2007 caddy has the tailgate, do you know if the 2015 tailgate, rear bumper and rear lights are a straight swap once coded?

Re: Caddy R360 build thread
Glad you’ve enjoyed reading it! Hope you didn’t waste too much time!
I believe yes, the tailgate is a straight swap with the correct wiring looms (I’m not 100% whether you need all of them or just the one that goes to the lock/handle) and then there’s some repinning to do (I’ve no idea what or where though!) and whether you would need to upgrade any control modules as well.
I think there’s a thread on here where someone has done it and detailed the changes but can’t remember where I saw it.

That’s grand, cheers pal.
None of this thread is a waste of my time. So much useful info and ideas. In fact this forum is a wealth of information.
Glad I joined.

The only thing that I’ve found is a waste of time is carrying my wallet. Since I joined this amazing forum, I never have any money to put in it.

I don’t suppose you still have the sliding door rubber you’d like to sell? Mines been mauled by a couple of hounds! Don’t ask!

Afraid not. Have you tried vw parts dept? I’ll see if I can find out how much they are.

Cheers Dan. We have a TPS locally so I could collect from them. I have used them before.

Re: Caddy R360 build thread
Had a quick glance at the parts database and they're about £53. Best to get TPS to use your reg to order the right part number.

I phoned TPS this morning. As you said £52 something plus the dreaded. I’ll order one next week.

Re: Caddy R360 build thread
wow! Thank you for posting such in depth details about the build process, I don't think people realise how much devotion and creativity goes into cars like these especially as they're usually always hidden away under cloaks of secrecy.
Kudos to all involved!
One question if I may, who are you insured with please?

Re: Caddy R360 build thread
There was a fair amount of secrecy when it was being built in order to be unique when it finally got revealed!
