If you aim for a refillable DI vessel for your final (by hose) rinse and i use the small carbon one for wash bucket and pump sprayer fills .

@vizidomar I’m well jealous of that hinged lid on your LHD mk4, wishVW had made an option for the right hand drive mk4

Fitted mk6 golf multifunctional steering wheel in 63 plate highline caddy.
What extra stuff do I need to do to make it work?
Does it need a new SWCM and air bag harness along with coding?
Thanks in advance.

Not today but yesterday lol Finally got round to fitting new mk5 golf gti front shocks and eibach lowering springs after fighting with the drivers side as it was a right pain to get into the back of the hub then I noticed a school boy error by leaving the brake hose the wrong side of the strut Image good job brakes are coming off as well lol hopefully get the rears done today weather permitted Image

Good evening,

What sort of drop are you expecting to get from the gti front set up?

Robert

@Azz03 what is the benefit of mk5 shock over the caddy ones?

@Azz03 you've built that strut up without a dust boot. That's not going to last very long like that as it'll destroy the shock seals.

@davinci the guy who built my engine is a vw specialist and works mainly in caddy’s so he knows a lot about them. So he told me to go for mk5 gti shocks as the lowering springs sit better and are a more comfortable ride on less of a crash feeling over pot holes.

@doc I did think about putting new ones on but every set of coil overs I’ve ever had haven’t had any cover over the main strut ?
