Yeah thats the airlift controller mate. I made a little panel so it’s sits up at a useable angle.

@Barbel that is one smart dash is a touran dash?
If so what model is it as I’m looking for the same because of the heating controls.

Yeah it’s just a regular touran dash mate. Its got the later vent surrounds with the chrome strip around them. The heater controls are the ones that were in my van from factory, with the heated seats.

Now I’ve seen that horrible big hole (old cigarette lighter) next to my ashtray I think I’m going to have to do something about it. That’s tomorrow’s job sorted

Yeah. You just need the surround trim that matches the shape of your controls. The dash I bought had a different trim (with the 3 round dials) so I ordered a new one from TPS for £34 I think.

It came out of a mates caddy so it was all there ready for me to fit. Looking at it on car audio websites I think these are specific to certain cars. This one is the Alpine X800D-U which is for VW models. For example you can get an X800ML which is for a Mercedes ML.

Cheers pal, went to fit one that I have and is much thicker so the dash trim doesn’t fit round it

Test dying one of the beige trims, just the back of it to see how it takes.
