The Mk4 ones (which you got if you bought them recently) are a bit better than the Mk3 ones (better plastic, bit more streamlined). If you ever replace them, fit them yourself, takes about 5 minutes, the instructions are in the box.

OEM ones are even easier. Use provided tool to push some plastic clips into the window seal. Job done.

If you can even find non-OEM ones on the other side of the world ("Rhodesian75" and myself are), they would work out to be pretty expensive. The VW ones don't have any branding on them, which I prefer. Mine cost about £70, fitted them myself.
Latest ones and look good (Part # VW2K0072193B - $155.63). Taper off near mirror giving really nice streamlined look. Would have bought and fitted them myself, but van was in for service and thought I would get them to install them then they'll be covered under warranty as they installed them. Only cost about $15 to have them installed.

Yeah, I've had both and prefer the new ones. I broke the old one by hitting something on the passenger side with the mirror, which then folded in and broke the deflector. The new ones are cut to allow the new mirrors to fold properly. They might survive a similar accident...

@p1andy ... no mate I built mine up with a couple of layers of fibreglass filler first then finishing it off with fine filler, high build primer then base coat and lacquered the whole door. I would not personally recommend even attempting to plenish it out with a hammer for sure mate

Downer on the day finding I have a flat back left tyre Image. Finally got round to changing the reverse lamps and led reg plate lights. Nothing major but kind of looks better. She needs a clean and waiting for a less windy day to apply my back and front window tints!

Anybody know where I can get one of these adjustable auto headlight sensor modules. I have the one that is non-adjustable and don't like how the lights come on and go off in certain light conditions and want to be able to adjust light level, but can't find any anywhere.
