I`ve got a 3 spoke mfsw on mine...so would a 3 spoke mfsw from a mk5 or mk6 GTi go straight on, or would I be knackered with the wiring for the buttons?

The mk5 gt wheel I bought had removable covers where your buttons would be so I assume you'd just pull out your buttons and push them in the new wheel the airbag was a straight swop

if its anything like the transporters i just used the standard plug then cut an soldered it up to mfsw wires , that way everything works fine.Mk1988 wrote:The mk6 steering wheel fits on caddy but horn does not work as there is nowhere to plug black plug in any ideas anyone
ive not done my caddy yet , but intend to do it late next week .
it all looks the same sort of thing tho.
as i remember you have extra earth wires ive seen 3 an 2 insten of one , but all are the same so taged them all in together , job done .
dont have the ignition on ie key out when you remove the airbag an you will not get any falt come up , only turn back on once new bad fitted .
ive done 5 never had a air bag light come up yet .
if it aint broke an it dont need fixing , then its time to make it go faster .
