As per title, I pulled the complete cruise control stalks from a Touran 2009 along with clock spring and bottom module and replaced them all into my 2005 Caddy.
I noticed the caddy had an extra steering position module that the touran never had and google-foo says its because its part of the touran clock spring now. Also the steering module didnt have the pins to transfer the module anyways.
Anyhow, cruise seems to work in VCDS and I'm getting the signals from all the switches and clutch and brake pedal, but the van has a yellow steering wheel error now on the dash and I cannot get rid. Both through coding and various diagnostics.
Any ideas?
i THINK the van is expecting the sensor module to still be there and not via the clock spring, but thats just guesswork. I was hoping a matched set from the Touran would be compatible, but I'm missing something. Incorrect coding perhaps?
Perhaps as I still have the Caddy Clocks in and not the Touran ones yet ? Still waiting for a cable to arrive so I can get the Pin numbers and try a IMMO transfer.

Re: Retrofit Cruise and now steering sensor issue
The SWCM (from the Touran doesn’t have/support the steering angle sensor that was plugged into your caddy’s SWCM as the steering angle sensor will be integral to the actual power steering on the subframe.
Check out the Rosstech website to find a suitable module https://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.p ... e_Versions
You’ll most likely need one that supports the steering wheel angle sensor. Find you original one on the list and find a midline or highline one the same software level and LIN version that supports the steering angle sensor.
The Rosstech site also gives the right info for coding in the cruise control including the code to enter to enable cruise control once you’ve coded the module in.
Also… as your van is pre 2006 you’ll need to check your SWCM has the diagnostic wire fitted. Check the black plug on the SWCM, T20, pin 13. If this is missing you’ll need to run a wire from pin T20/13 to your ECU T94/20. The wire if installed should be blue/white.
