As iv got my first baby on the way the van is now being retired from work duty and becoming the family car/b grade show van (well trying anyway!), so trying to get a few little finishing touches in, one thing that always bothered me was the state of my seat bases.
Touran carpets going in shortly so I thought I'd carpet the bases to matchImage

Nice to see someone else carpeting the standard seat bases! Do you find the standard bases make the different seats sit too high? Been looking at seats but didn't want to change my bases as I've made them look nice too

Thanks mate, if anything they keep them lower, the touran bases are about 4cm higher than the caddy ones, so being 6"3 I prefer the lower seating position.
Just waiting for some new seat bolts to finally arrive from lllparts and I can get the bases and touran carpets in....

Rear racking ripped out yesterday, now trying to cover every exposed single skin panel with sound proofing sheets, used 20 sheets so far and still got alot to get through!!
Definitely makes a difference, just knocking on the panels before and after really shows how much of a sound deadening quality the sheets have!
So hopefully when everything is covered then the rest of the rear shell carpeted at the same time as the retrimmed leather touran seats go in when the van goes into tmg in a few weeks I'm hoping it sounds alot more refined, fingers crossed 🤞
