Caddy 3 Revival

Post by DeargRí »

So I bought a Red Caddy van there, about 3 weeks into owning it a fella I work with and myself had a bit of a tip you know yourself. I have spent the past two weeks straightening it and managed to fit the touran Bumper, sommme Job.
I had a job modifying the radiator to fit. My engine is a BLS and I had a BXE radiator from a touran. In the end up I plastic welded it onto the intercooler from a BLS and saved my self 100 euro (although 3 hours labour, but we won't talk about thatImageImage)ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Nice work!

Did you have to pull the frame rail? Or was it just the flange that was busted?
I see a car-o-liner benchrack, those are quite nice to work with :)

Caddy Carpetting

Post by DeargRí »

My donor Touran is beginning to get awful sparse. Got the carpets, centre console and seats all out today... straight into the 06 demon.
Anyone tells ya the centre console goes in easy is full of scutter, quite tough ended up having to cut the cup holder in the back out and a few other biteens.
More sound deadening in, I will tell you one thing and no more the caddy is a nice machine to drive now.
Sound for readingImage

Had to pull the chassis legs, the left one was bent in to the right. Aah it pulled out well in the end up. Had to weld on a new flange alright

Looks like a good start already.
p.s. I've merged both of your topics in one build thread, so everybody can see the progress in one place rather than scattered over two topics.

Looking good so far mate. I like a red caddy!
Are you going to do the full dash and door card conversion? Makes sense to while you’ve got everything you need right there. I think you can also use the airbag module from the Touran and get a passenger airbag in your caddy too.
