Norwegian Caddy Maxi IV Build

Post by kentra »

Welcome to my VW Caddy Maxi IV build thread!

I just got my new VW Caddy Maxi IV 2017 van, and I got some plans for it.
This is going to be my daily driver and a project car at the same time
Most of the heavy work is going to be done in the summer as I am not as dependent on the car.

But again, I know my self.. I can't wait until summer to start the transformation :D

Plans (so far..):
  • Lowering
  • Painting bumpers
  • Comfort wall
  • New wheels
  • Fog lights
  • Armrest
  • tuning
Not necessarily in that order.

What I have done so far is fitting a Audiotec Fischer Match M 5.4DSP amplifier and GAS MAX S1-6D1 subwoofer. Really happy what that.

I'm actually getting VW Touran seat bases tomorrow. From what I understand with those bases most mid size Audi/VW seats will fit my Caddy.
I have some Audi A4 B7 Avant seats on hand for 60 bucks. So I need those bases! :D

Hi, if you don't already know, there are a couple of chaps that can make up an almost identical factory wiring harness if your seats you are fitting are electric operated etc.

Welcome to the forum.
Looks like you have some big plans for your caddy.

Don't forget to get the M10 bolts from the Touran seat bases, your caddy bases use M8 so these wont be any good to reuse.

I ended up buying the seats from the guy who sold me the Touran bases.
Now I just have to figure out the wiring. Have been reading on seat wiring on here all day.
I think I got the airbag wiring figured out, going to test it out tomorrow.
Still need to figure out how to wire the heated seats.
As I understand there are only one module that controls the heated seats on my Caddy, the 2005 Touran seats came with one pr seat.

If I don't find a wiring diagram I guess I'm going to ask someone on this forum nicely to make me a loom :)
