Re: Let the build begin
Managed to salvage a stand-alone RLS mount, sensor and cover out of Golf, bargain at £10
Quick job as I already had a mirror mount one installed following the how to in the tech section

And error free LED number plate lights also fitted, straight fit, no mods!

Thanks!
The light console came from a Passat, I went down the Passat route as I was struggling to find a salvaged W8 light for sensible money and I really wanted somewhere to store my sunglasses, saves them getting crushed, bent, scratched in the glove box.
You have enough posts now to request additional forum access to the technical sections, get your request in and you should be upgraded within about a week.
It’s well worth the wait!

Rear lights look great , I wasn’t aware they needed coding in but I guess I will find out when I have full access

Buddy, preface lift van’s are easy to do with VCDS, other ones will require VCP to edit the BCM to achieve the same effect
Worth doing properly as it’s gets rid of the lamp error on the dash and lights up the bottom bar, I’m loving them!

Re: Let the build begin
No worries!
Yeah, I think you’ll need the BCM coding tweaked to get the bottom bar to light up as a sidelight.
Would be worth posting up to see if there’s anyone local to you that can make the changes
Not seen travelinlite on here.

Yeah, they seem a good company, genuine parts, not to pricey (my local TPS don’t deal with the public and VW commercial won’t post) and next day delivery.

Re: Let the build begin
So, after a wait of almost 11 weeks while my rear bumper has been travelling back and forwards to the paint shop to have a couple of paint faults fixed post colour coding I’ve finally got the bumper protector fitted!
Good coverage and should reduce my chances of scratching the flat section of the bumper when moving bikes, etc in and out!
Finishes off the look I was aiming for at the rear too.

This build just keeps getting better and better mate. The exhaust looks great, as does the bumper......it was worth the wait!

Cheers buddy!
Only problem with bolting new shiny stuff on is that it starts to show up the other small bits that need attention like the small dents and dings!
I’m dreading the day I wake up and add a full respray to my mods list!
