@james400 them inserts look Bob on. Have you thought of making an insert of some kind for the dash top compartment, maybe something which holds a mobile phone and insert for keys etc.

Always open to suggestions but phones are difficult though as there are so many different sizes but will look into it

Was thinking of a slot for the phone to hold it at an angle horizontally, ideal for when using phone for sat nav to stop it falling over. ;)

Sorry for the lateness of this reply
Just finally getting around to fitting these. What sort of self tappers did you use? Are they a vehicle specific? The ones you used in your photo look neat.
The type I have look more industrial
Thanks katie

Fitted a cheap android unit stereo. Needed Bluetooth.

Finding that the standard mic isn’t very good and with no input for an external mic I may have to look at a new unit already.

New battery as the cold was showing up how knackered the old one was, plus took the chance to replace the weird battery sleeping bag with the plastic case to make it seem a bit more robust.

Only took about an hour to get feeling back in my fingers

We’ve just fit the plastic battery box to ours. Definitely looks a lot better than the standard.
Didn’t cost the earth either.
