Nice. VW design language is single red stripes. If you want to go the whole way, take the lenses off the lights and continue the red on the chrome strip in there, a la GTi. The red would also work on the strip over the fog lights.

Caddy badge gone and took care of the winter prep with a good clean down, polish and wax

Stripped the old carpet flooring and ply for cleaning, sound deadening, foiled insulation and fluffy insulation as well.
Few holes in the floor where the ply had been screwed down, what’s the best way to fill these or cover them for new deadmat on there and then new ply?
Also what’s the thoughts on full coverage ply or only the indented windows plyed?

Personally I think full height ply looks cheap. Carpet the metalwork then the fit the carpeted panels.
To fix the holes in the floor and nice blob of skiaflex or tiger seal in the hole should fix it

Re: What did you do to your van today?
pete3dmunds yeah I was thinking that too. Just carpet or would 6mm foil backed insulation on the rest of the bare metal be sufficient? So many options! My head hurts.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
I filled the cavities with a layer of sound deadening (silent coat), closed cell foam (dodo mat), then a layer of Dacron. I left the metalwork bare, then carpeted it. Covering all the metalwork in 6mm foil insulation is overkill

pete3dmunds what about the holes from factory? Just cover with tape? They’re pretty large and guess they may get poked through by accident? Or am I overthinking this?
