In the photo of your stalks can see you have trip control on them and so does the wheel. In the process of getting my head round mfsw’s and been told shouldn’t have two lots of trip control

Ah I see, thanks for the heads up! I still have the original caddy stalks so if it is an issue I can easily swap that one outPapa Bear wrote:In the photo of your stalks can see you have trip control on them and so does the wheel. Re: Mouse's MTB Day Van/Camper
Been looking for a roof rack for a while now and this one popped up on FB marketplace yesterday for £100, messaged the seller then drove down to Skipton to pick it up, the bloke Aidie even fitted it for me. What a great guy!

Not the best pics, but installed an air vent yesterday.
Next up is the fit the wood cladding and insulation for the ceiling, oh and fit some spot lights too.

Re: Mouse's MTB Day Van/Camper
So today I finally got round to completing the install of my leisure battery, split charge and 4 port hub.
The hub houses a 12v lighter port, x2 USB ports, voltmeter and a switch. I have some led lights that plug into the 12v port however I'm going to wire them up to the switch on the port which will free up the 12v port for my electric cooler.
The relay seemed to work well initially however after a short drive once the van was turned off the voltage didn't drop low enough for the relay to switch off, quick Google and someone suggested turning the blowers on to knock the voltage low enough for the relay to switch off.
Not ideal, as I'm bound to forget to do that and I'll end up with a flat starter battery, any suggestions on what the issue is are welcome. But please dumb it down a tad though as I'm no sparky.
All I know Is;
Red to red
Black to black
Blue to bits
Cheers, Mouse

Re: Mouse's MTB Day Van/Camper
It should turn off below 12.65v with a 5 second delay. If it isn’t, sounds like needs replacing under warranty?

Re: Mouse's MTB Day Van/Camper
Initially it did drop below when I tested it on the driveway, but after a drive it now holds at 12.8v.Papa Bear wrote:It should turn off below 12.65v with a 5 second delay. If it isn’t, sounds like needs replacing under warranty?
I'm quietly confident I've wired everything up correctly so maybe the relay is faulty. Hopefully someone can enlighten me, if not I'll contact the seller a out it.

Re: Mouse's MTB Day Van/Camper
If your battery is holding at 12.8 when off, there isn’t anything wrong with the relay. Is that the reading on the panel or from a multimeter?

It's the reading from the panel

Re: Mouse's MTB Day Van/Camper
Be an idea to confirm that with a multimeter. My panel reads about 1v under actual, yours maybe over.

Re: Mouse's MTB Day Van/Camper
Planning to spend a few days away come the weekend so took the opportunity to test out my tent with the caddy and my new tarp.
Think it looks pretty sweet and adds some valuable extra space.
I've done some work to the van recently, completed the electrics and insulation. Also made a start on fitting the wood cladding and spot lights to the ceiling.
Hoping to get those completed today after work. Will add photos once done.
