A quick picture at dusk, I’ll take some better ones over the weekend after I’ve cleaned the carpets, covered in muck and straw at the moment

Re: Let the build begin
So today was a day for a wee tune up...
Remapped to about 140 BHP, I wanted a safe remap that gave me a little more power and a sharper response, not just power!
0-60mph (by eye from in dash speedo) down from 12.75 secs to 11.16 secs and it does wheelies, felt like I was back in the ‘70’s in my escort Mexico
Turbo spins up a lot faster too...
Enabled the comfort function via VCDS, windows now open/close with the remote and then enabled the up/down function with the key in/engine off
Oh, and called my insurance... cost a little extra, but not a lot, will be looking to change from Admiral next year...
I’ll be calling them again once I’ve fitted my new suspension and lowered the van a few mm’s
List is getting shorter though...
3. Remap - complete
6. Trial fitting of a VW flip emblem reversing camera into a spare barn door(long term project!) - binned unless I swap the barn doors for a tailgate.
9. Dukes of Hazard air horns (so ‘70’s)
14. Centre console
15. Touran dash - binned, going to buy a centre fitting holder with cover
16. Touran/Tiguan instrument cluster
18. Dye the cab headlining
19. Lowering kit - on order
22. New exhaust minus the back box though - arrived, waiting to install
23. Replacement colour coded rear bumper
24. Diesel filter cover
26. 12 button MFSW

belv if you do go down the replacement route, you’ll need to get the frame for the back of the light console as well, it’s tucked behind the headliner

the swan fiend cheers buddy!
Wasn’t intending to do any mods to my old builders van, however.... coming on here was my downfall or my saviour
So many great ideas, people and help available here that it seemed rude not to have a go at a few mods to make my van a bit more comfortable!

Re: Let the build begin
Ok guru, pain in the backside here again!
Ptc installed, vcds scan sees it,
But... 2 fault codes. One saying it’s defective, one saying no or incorrect basic settings / adaptation.
Is this because I’ve not enabled it? If so, how?
Or have I bought a plum?
Looked at making other changes in VCDS but as the instructions I found aren’t exact, scares me to change anything

Carry out an auto scan and save it
Then :
Check it’s enabled :
Block 09, central electrics, byte 4 bit 0 : Auxillary heater installed, I think this is the one that enables the PTC.
Then go back to the modules, select 7D-Aux. Heat, then select output test
Start your van, turn the air to cold, fan on to setting 2, select Sequential Output Tests, click start test and you should see a similar screen to the above.
You can tweak the temperature on/off settings, however I can’t find again
Mine had the same coding error to start with and it still worked.
If it’s still not working, perhaps someone with more experience can help point you in the right direction... like yourself, I’m still trying to get to grips with VCDS and the terminology.

Re: Let the build begin
Coolio
Or should that be warmio
It doesn’t appear in byte 4, in fact all the things yours shows aren’t there, must be a different version
But it tested and worked, still showing errors though. Will check again when been for a drive. Thank you, learning lots fast.
Now here is the heat wave
