Got an unexpected offer for the side bars so whipped them off. Aero wiper arrived and promptly snapped when I was fitting it so that's gone back. Now trying to source some audi S5 side blades and somewhere to get it lowered (further) without much luck. 😎

@Oldgregg that carbon wrap looks amazing mate. Which one have you used and did you lacquer it afterwards? Ace that?

hef355 cheers mate, I dropped the link above if you want to check it out. I didn’t lacquer it, it comes with a layer of gloss already applied. It also comes with a protective peel off plastic layer to stop it getting scratched when it’s rolled up which is pretty handy.

@Oldgregg thank you for that buddy! Was it very difficult to wrap? Looks a very tricky job, any tips? Love it

Swapped out the standard seats, albeit GTE ones and installed A3 saloon half leather and alcantara seats. So, so much more comfortable.

New steering wheel to come and a new exhaust next week.

hef355 it depends what you’re trying to wrap, the flatter the surface the easier it is.

What you would need is

•a heat gun
•a squeegee like the ones in the kit above
•also a blade which also comes in the kit above
•and of course your desired vinyl

First clean the surface using isopropyl alcohol or a trim cleaner (just make sure it’s clean) cut the vinyl to roughly the size you want leaving around an inch on the width and length.

Take off the vinyl backing and apply to the flat surface using the squeegee to remove any air bubbles, if you don’t like it you can always remove it and replace the vinyl (it’s pretty forgiving in that sense)

When you use heat the vinyl will become softer which allows you to gently stretch it over angles and to gently push down in to a concave, too much heat will burn the vinyl (also be carful where you face the heat inside the vehicle) so just quick bursts. Also if there’s a pattern on the vinyl to much stretching will warp the pattern. Too much stretching in the wrong areas will also leave a lot of tension and will make it prone to peeling back over time, the more you stretch the thinner and less effective the adhesive becomes. I believe you can buy some sort of one time adhesive pen to help in tricky areas.

Once you’ve got the vinyl on and wrapped around the trim as desired use a bit of heat to wrap it around the edges and on to the back of the trim and stick down (at least 5mm on the back to hold it in place) then trim off any excess.

I’ve only used vinyl once previously to what you see in the picture so that’s all I’ve figured out so far, someone else will probably know better. it’s pretty easy to learn how to apply, you just need some patience. Sorry if this was too much information
