Fitted my new rims...I know it looks like it’s on stilts but I don’t know the first thing about lowering, what bits, cost, what to tell the insurance, legality of it all etc.
They look great! I'm on the hunt for alloys myself but having that same thought about trying to minimise the space with bigger alloys but unsure of size, legality, speedometer. They look great either way though!!!
I went for very similar sized ones to the steelies so there’s no effect on speedometer. There’s a handy website (google: willtheyfit) which tells you how wheels measure up to your current ones if you put in sizes, including the effect on ride height and speed. Took a lot of searching for the right ones. As it’s my daily I went with 17s in the end.
Stripped out all the ply lining and fixed some trim carpet to them all ready to go back in when I get time
As its new to me I gave it a good going over this weekend
Fixed all the rattling heat shields back had the abs sensors of and cleaned the plugs as I have an intermittent warning issue
No pictures yet as I couldn't live up to some of the cracking vans in this thread .mines just a work horse that needs a bit of TLC
