If you mean they didn't have cruise control when leaving the factory, that was the case with mine. I think having the multi function display already helps, but depending which year you have depends which stalks you need and how complex it is.

Yeah. Im not teally worried about cruise control. I woulf just like to have the option to see avg mpg. How far i can still go with a tank and so forth in the centre display. I dont know if changing the stalks would automaticly make it work. Ive had a 2011 m300 chevy spark that didnt have those functions. Turned out all the sensors and everything was already there. Just needed to add a small micro switch to the clocks and you can cycle through.

Since you created this thread it seems that you now have sufficient posts to apply for access to the whole forum. Hence if you have not already done it I suggest you put a new post in the new members forum specifically requesting your forum access is updated?
Hopefully that will allow you to see how others have gone about the same project.
So just head over to the “New Members” forum, open the very first thread in the “announcements” section “New members please read all the first post". Once you have read the forum rules, (and assuming you are happy with them), just add a new post in that thread with the appropriate message… something like “I have fully read and understood the first post. I have made the necessary number of posts and believe I am entitled to access to the 30+ posts group”.
Please note that upgrades to forum access are NOT automatic even if you make a million posts, you still need to specifically request access to the relevant post group.
To stop the forum being over-run by spam, all requests will be reviewed by a human being, not a computer algorithm, so don't expect an instant response, it can take a few days before your request is assessed and any change in access rights made.
As for retrofitting Cruise control to your Caddy, provided you do not have a startline based vehicle, then you could already have most if not all of the hardware on your vehicle. Base level models will probably need a new control module, some extra wiring and new stalks/steering wheel, and some VCDS coding.
You should be able to work out the model level which your Caddy is based on, simply by the sticker in the handbook. My maxi 4Motion came with cruise as standard was a limited edition model based on the Trendline spec (the mid range version sold in Germany) and the vehicle spec on the handbook is listed as ...Trend 4M
Inherently enabling OEM kit is likely to provide a neater solution than adding an after-market system. Hence it could be worth waiting and then reading relevant threads on here once you have full access to the forum.
Good luck - PS if you decide to go ahead with the upgrade, consider taking photos and then posting up a "how to".

Tx mate. Did post to be upgraded and I will wait patiently. I do think my caddy is a baseline one with no such extras. The only thing I have is outside temp reading and a second speedo in mph.
