@hef
Took it for a spin and it sounds a hell of a lot better.
@Peter
It sounds so different with the new forge air box/filter

@chris
It’s on my to do list.
I need to get it back in the work shop so I can do it.
Still need to work out the pins to fuse and relays.
Also I now have to change the timing chains as they have started making a noise on tick over

Cheers for the update! I’ll hang fire on changing mine until you’ve done yours
Crikey! Can you get good access with the engine in or is it an engine out job?

@chris
I can get access without taking the engine out.
I will have to drop the gearbox box out and hopefully I won’t have to take the front off.
If anyone has done this any advice would be appreciated.

Re: My EX BG VR6 3.2 build
Sean, the humble mechanic (YouTube) has covered in detail changing the timing chains, sprocket and tensioners.
Might be worth a look.

@lister
Somehow it makes you feel you have done a proper job and it’s official especially as I had to get an engineers report for the DVLA so they would change it all over

You have indeed done a proper job Sean. The engineers report is the cherry on the cake! I would love to have your skills and bravery.

Re: My EX BG VR6 3.2 build
@Daniel
They are a straight fit.
Most Golf and Audi A3 use the same mounting points.
So no fabrication needed.
