Cheers lads.

Ryan, that’s because you live on the English riviera. It’s all palm trees and sunshine down there. :D

Well I must be living in the riviera then coz there’s a lot of foreigners arriving on boats everyday. I’m hearing a helicopter going over at least 5-8 times a week so they must be going to there riviera homes.

The van flew through its mot today. While it was on the ramp I wanted to check the underneath of the van because a while ago I was driving behind a 4x4 and out of nowhere a huge rock or lump of concrete appeared in the middle of the road from under the car in front. Being a 4x4 he’d easily straddled the obstacle without problem, leaving me with a split second choice of running straight over it or swerving into oncoming traffic to avoid it. Obviously I didn’t swerve across the road, I smashed straight into it. It was a seriously hard hit which felt as the van had briefly left the ground and landed again and the noise was just painful. I expected to immediately see my dash lit up like a Christmas tree with a brake line, fuel line, air suspension line or all the oil exiting my sump at a rapid rate. Thankfully, a few weeks before this incident I’d fitted a metal sump guard and today was the first chance I’ve had to see underneath the van properly. Safe to say without the sump guard I’d have had a very expensive bill on my hands. It definitely saved me.

That was probably the best £70 you will ever spend 😲
It looks like it would have done a lot of damage

The dent at the front! That guard stood up well!

Where did you get one for £70?
