Hi, welcome to the forum.
Not sure on the relevance of your photo but caddy looks good.

There's a very good six speed swap how-to on the forum from way back about ten years ago, still relevant today.

Hi Shane

Just picked mine up from having it done

Here was some issues the garage had ran into

1. Dont use the 6speed tower or shift cables , put the 6 speed bracket and cable ends on your 5speed , had some choice words but after doc confirmed they bit the bullet and tried it and it works perfectly

2.oring that goes onto end of clutch line where it goes into bleed valve , there will be a rubber oring seated in the bottom of the 5speed bleed valve , make sure this is taken out and put on the end of the line where it goes into the 6speed bleed valve else it will leak

3. Mk5 tdi drive shafts fit perfectly without having to remove outer cv joints and swapping (I have a spare set if you need any)

4.enjoy

Hi
Having done the conversion earlier in the year. i'll give you a quick run down
My van is an 07 1.9 tdi (bls) The touran that donated its parts was an 06 1.9 tdi.
The parts i used were the box ,clutch, selector cable ends and both drive shafts. That was it. You need the 6 speed shafts as they are a tiny bit longer and on a lowered van if you keep the standard shafts they will pop out of the cv joints. You need to swap over the gear selector ends to the 6 speed ones. But the original clutch slave fits fine as does the starter motor. So its just a case of swapping the gear box, clutch, shafts and selector ends .
I hope this helps

Did the box you use have internal or external slave?

I'm at the point of needing a 6 speed for my bjb engine. What would be the best 6 speed box to use.
