Progress on the Damaged Repairable Caddymax

Post by AndyBa »

So we'be made progress on the 2011 ex BG damaged repairable Caddy max our son is going to convert into a camper.
It's a CAT N, the following items needed replacing:
Front offside wing
Inner arch liner
Bonnet
Windscreen
Front bumper
Washer bottle
Plus the offside inner wing has a minor crumple

The van is back together with secondhand panels and a new windscreen with fade strip (£291 fitted).
The original bumper has been stitched together with tie-wraps pending replacement with a touran style bumper and grille when the panels have been painted.
On Thursday night I took it for a circa 10 mile run just to check all was OK prior to the MOT yesterday. Surpringly the red oil light came on with the alarm. The oil level is fine although the service light is on. At circa 84K.
It passed the MOT. However 500 meters out of the garage the dreaded coil light came on an the car went into limp mode. Stuck the OBD in tonight an get the dreaded P0201 code!
Had a play diconnecting each injector in turn and the running didn't seem to get any worse. P0204 error came up but no P0202 or P0203 for cylinders 2 or 3. P0201 is the only error that remains. I guess the next test is checking the injectors and wiring with a multimeter?
