Vcds help
Have looked everywhere but struggling to find definative info for comfort window close via rls. Lots of info for golf etc but not caddy specific etc
Allready have factory rls as have auto light and wipers etc so what do i have to do in vcds.
Also at what point does this work, while driving and parked etc?
Cheers in advance

Re: Vcds help
What is rls?
Do you mean auto windows?
Mine go up if I hold the lock button on my remote down.
If I can make them do it just on locking without holding it down it would be great.
I looked on the vcds forums as I'm a new owner of vcds as well, it seems to normally be in general electrics but the wiki doesn't mention it for the caddy. I've not loaded the software yet to know if it's there or not.

Ross tech keep pointing to this page http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.ph ... ght_Sensor
I don't know if it's any help, I've not even plugged mine in yet, just reading up on how to use it properly lol.

Re: Vcds help
I think thats to do with setting up actual sensor as depends on colour of glass etc. mine already works as factory. its just the option for closing windows thats not 100% clear as some forums talk about enabling in different areas

Re: Vcds help
ok so have tried various from forums (golfs) and still does not work
they talk about going into module 46 but vids cannot contact that controller but those options are available in 09 anyway.
the option has come up in dashboard menu ok
the only thing is, is in the drop down subsystem for RLS I don't have any options in there for rain closing but they are again in 09.
its a 2018 maxi life and has RLS that works fine for lights and rain normally as factory etc
any help/pointers very appreciated

Re: Vcds help
On your 2018 Caddy the convenience module (46) is combined with the central electric module (09).
Have a look at adaptions, I'm sure there's something in there for rain closing.
The van must be locked with windows down.
I think there's a minimum time setting for it to setup after you lock.

Re: Vcds help
@Doc
hi mate, ah answers the module confusion etc, I did guess it maybe because mine is newer etc then ones I have seen instructions for.
I'll look at adaptions again although from memory there wasn't anything in there it was all in long coding and am sure have done all I can find.
Windows were open just couple of inches as its actually raining rather then all open etc a bit so that might be a reason as well I suppose
cheers mate
