Could someone please advise me on the maximum (standard) width tyre on could use on a Caddy 2k without having to rollout wheel arches

Got the Toffee Brown VW Caddy, rolling on its winter wheels at the moment ... These are Speedline reps 8.5x19" et45 fitted with 235 35 19" no issues with any rubbing or side door issues.

Can anyone help ? just purchased a 08 plate 1.9 TDI caddy for work, I'm currently running 15inch steels and want to upgrade to 17 or 18inch alloys. She drives and handles lovely and my concern is she won't handle as well with larger wheels. Can anyone shed any light that has made the jump from steels to 18's and can tell me what the difference is like ?
I can't lower as I won't be able to use van for large loads then, thanks
