They look sweet, how long did they take to do? Did you notice a big difference in stopping power?

Half an hour to strip down, took the outer caliper and carrier to the powder coaters and while they were there (a few days) I took the pistons and seals out of the silver side of the caliper, cleaned them up and I guess about an hour or so to fit new seals and pistons. Then bolted the 2 halves together when I got them back after powder coating and sealed the whole lot in ceramic sealant so they're easy to keep clean. Fairly easy job all round really.

Certainly a decent improvement in brake performance over standard.

I you have to know That if you upgrade in the front you must upgrade in the rear, the best upgrade in the rear are 310 vented disc and calipers from audi tt 3.2, mk5 r32. If you only upgrade the front when you break you will fell that de van incline to the front and thats not good to the wieght balance, the van must brake flat.

Are your HEL lines standard Audi S3 ones or are they custom VW Caddy one end, to S3 the other end?

Pretty sure they were S3 hoses but it was a while ago when I bought them so can't really remember. Just phone or email Hel, they'll tell you exactly what you need.

They sell them in pairs too, fronts and rears. They're very helpful if you call them.

Brilliant, I thought as much, Ive been comparing the Ekta's between the S3 and my Caddy and was close to that conclusion, but great to have it confirmed!

Just realised I need bolts too. Theyre not cheap are they!!?

I’ve been looking to do same but looking to go down brembo 18z route which should offer great stopping power as from much heavier vehicles such as Porsche cayennes etc!
How do I get access to technical pages on this site? Has anybody had experience of doing this?
I’ve seen fitting kits on dark side etc and know now need ml 450 disks! Do I need to change stone guard at rear ? If so what one do I need and do I need to change to bigger master cylinder?
Thanks in advance sorry for highjack!

How to gain access is in your welcome email I believe but also stickied at the top of each section with more info in the new member section of the forum.
